Click on the link below to access Excel templates that provide an alignment of skills from five of the seven skill domains in Essential for Living (EFL) with the Common Core State Standards and the Florida Access Points. These skills can be considered extensions of these academic performance standards, in much the same way as skills that are part of Unique Learning Systems.
Unlike Unique, however, the skills from EFL are life skills which have been specifically designed to be taught to students with moderate-to-severe disabilities in situations similar to or the same as those which these students will encounter in everyday living.

Skills from two skill domains in EFL — Daily Living Skills and Tolerating Skills — were not aligned with these standards, as these skills are not even indirectly related to academic performance standards.
